I have tried a lot of skin and hair care over the years but a couple have really stuck to my everyday use. I have an array on hair and body products that I switch between depending, on my needs. It is always good to use different products so you hair doesn’t get use to just one. I even use apple cider vinegar twice a week. The Ouai Haircare

Ouai haircare is one of the best hair products I have tried in years. It makes your hair feel super refreshed and smells amazing. There are several types of shampoo and conditioner depending in you hair care needs. The smooth shampoo and conditioner makes the hair calm with no frizz, cleanses each strand and moisturizes.  These shampoos include smooth, volume, repair, clean and curl. I mostly use smooth everyday but, when I get my hair colored I use repair. It is free of sulfates and parabens, never test on animals and protects color in hair longer.

Viral by Celebrity Luxury

Viral by celebrity luxury is one of the best shampoos for color treated hair. I use this before Ouai (see above)  everyday to keep my hair colored between color sessions. I use a combination of red and purple for my hair. It adds and retain color longer preventing color from fading.

The Ouai masks are my go to for when my hair needs ultra repair and softness. It has artichoke leaf extract which helps seal the ends of the hair to keep repair going for weeks. It will also help prevent future damage from hair breakage and heat and styling. It can repair damaged hair within same shower time.

I have just recently switched to Glossier from just regular body wash from bath and body works. This body wash and face wash really help get rid of the oils and dirt we get in everyday life. The face wash  can be use on dry skin to get rid of makeup and dirt.  The pH-balanced is made with  five different skin conditioners leaving your face feeling soft and healthy. The body wash helps provide skin with moisture and never strips it. This body wash has seven-oil blend which likes grime and sweat , lifting it away from your skin. When water hits, the body , the oil turns to  froth that washes it all away. The body wash is made 0% water so it wont affect the pH on your body. The body cream also makes  skin, tightens and smooths skin’s surface. It can also increases skin’s elasticity, and all-day hydration as well as zero residue on your clothes.

First Aid beauty is amazing for after the gym to get out all the extra impurities, and helps clog hard to get pores. This  can be used as daily cleanser for blemish-prone, combination,  oily skin and as a deep treatment cleanse for normal skin. After using my skin cleaner and purer.

 

Kate Somerville

I like to use a daily detox cleaner before a mask or even a heavier cleanser. Kate Somerville is great for all types of skin. I have seen great results in my skin cleaner up over the years. I have tried all of her products and these two are my favorite for in the shower. When using ExfoliKate in the shower, the steam will help to activate all the different enzymes on your face, making it more effective. The detox cleanser is great for getting off the dirt and sweat on your face .It also restores the clarity to acne-prone skin, it removes impurities and leaves skin feeling cleaner, brighter, smoother, and softer. Phytic acid brightens the loo appearance  of skin. The botanical extracts and vitamins moisturize, conditions the skin to help with not over drying.

Two ways to make Organic Fresh Almond Milk

Almond Milk Vanilla (way one: stovetop):

I love to make this and keep it in my house if I am in need of extra calcium. Almonds are one of the only system- alkalizing nut. Their benefits include regulating the nervous system, helps support bones, heart and even skin. Fresh almond can also include other great health benefits such as, flushing the body with minerals and proteins, omega 3, and antioxidants.

Ingredients-

  1. Organic Almonds (1 cup)
  2. Vanilla Extract (2 tsp)
  3. Organic Agave in the raw (in the raw) vegan and gluten sweetener(1-2 tsp)
  4. water(4 cups)

Instructions-

  1. Bring a cup of water with almonds to a boil than boil
  2. Drain and wash the almonds with cold water
  3. Add the organic almonds and stir on and off
  4. Peel almonds  (you can leave peel on I prefer mine off ) than add 1 tsp of vanilla, 3 cups of water in blender and blend for about 1-2 mins depending on how thick you want it.
  5. A fine grade mesh bag is needed to pour the milk through
  6. Can be stored up for 3 days !
  7. Enjoy

 

Almond Milk (way two: refrigerator)

Ingredients-

  1. Organic Almonds (1 cup)
  2. 4 1/2 cups of water
  3. 2 pinches of Himalayan pink salt
  4. 2 teaspoons of honey (or cane sugar)

Instructions-

  1. Put almonds in a bowl and add water to soak over night
  2. Drain nuts the next morning and add to blender
  3. Add the water and Himalayan pink salt  and blend on high for 45 secs (until liquid is milky)
  4. Poor in jar and enjoy!

Organic Sweet Potatoe Chips

These chips are my favorite to make during the fall and winter seasons. Not many people know but these snack are gluten-free. Sweet potatoes are also good for carbhoydrates which turns into energy. It is also packed filled with fiber and protein and, has a good amount of vitamins and minerals!

Ingredients:

  1. 2-3 organic sweet potatoes (orange) you can use white but I prefer the orange ones
  2. 2 tablespoons of olive oil (veg  oil can be used)
  3. 2 tablespoon of dried organic rosemary (the fresh rosemary doesn’t keep the same consistency)
  4. Himalayan pink salt or reg sea salt about 2 or 3 small pinches

Instructions:

  1. Before cutting and getting seasoning ready preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Wash off the dirt from the sweet potatoes and cut very thin to about about 1/4 or smaller pieces
  3. In a bowl mix together the potatoes with the olive oil,rosemary,and salt
  4. Once oven is ready bake for 10 mins, than flip and watch chips (take out golden brown)
  5. Enjoy!
